Instrumental/Vocal Tutor

The Music Service is a thriving, dynamic and expanding music service. We are presently looking for instrumental and vocal teachers across the full spectrum of western classical, popular, jazz and world music disciplines.
Our service delivers a variety of different activities to the children of Sheffield and the surrounding areas. These activities would include: one to one tuition, small group tuition, whole class tuition and ensembles either based centrally or in our schools. Teachers are employed on an a variable hours contract. In-service training is provided for all staff including mentoring and support where needed.
Interview sessions are held half termly, so we do recommend that you apply as soon as possible.
Applicants will be expected to travel to different areas of the city.
We currently have vacancies for flute, brass and singing specialists but we do welcome applications from all instruments.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Records Disclosure form in line with section 115 of the Police Act 1997. Sheffield City Council is currently undertaking a pay and grading review - as part of the review, the grade and salary for this post may be subject to change.
